The Arts of Fashion Educational Series is an international gathering of creative minds that come together from different sides of the fashion field, educational and professional, to celebrate fashion, encourage innovation and learn from each other. The Symposium hosts different events, including conferences with fashion professionals and the International Student Competition.

About the Series

The Arts of Fashion Foundation TANDEM-SERIES was introduced in 2002 as a platform for two industry professionals linked to the fashion world to speak on a strategic topic of rising importance in today’s fashion industy or in the world of fashion.

The debate, conversation or discussion is followed with a Q&A session where the public can gain further insight into the subject and the speakers.

About the Series

The Foundation introduced CARTEBLANCHE–SERIES in 2004 to further the goal of promoting fashion, creativity innovation and education. CARTEBLANCHE has provided previously awarded and emerging designers with strong unique voices and exposure at a crucial point in their careers.

CARTEBLANCHE also expands the creative horizons of developing fashion students visiting these runway shows and/or gallery exhibitions by exposing them to the avant-garde techniques and concepts of these designers and fashion artists.

About the Series

The Arts of Fashion Foundation FASHION.EDU-SERIES was introduced in 2008 under the direction of Steven Faerm from Parsons the New School for Design in New York.

The FASHION.EDU-SERIES gives opportunities to 3 to 6 selected fashion educators - professors, artists and designers - who teach at fashion institutions in United States and abroad to present their research and publications to their peers.

During the academic year, professors are invited to submit to the Arts of Fashion Foundation a presentation proposal.

Professors who have recently published books and articles frequently use this opportunity to come and discuss their topics with the public.
